GUILD PRESIDENT REMARKS,

TO GOD BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER AMEN.

First Female Guild President 2021-2022 in the history of Nyamitanga Technical Institute since 1953 when the institute emerged as a church school by white fathers.

While at Nyamitanga Technical Institute we are blessed with a number of Courses offered currently are;

  1. National Certificate in plumbing (NCPL)
  2. National Certificate in Building Construction (NCBC)
  3. National Certificate in Woodwork Technology (NCWT)
  4. National Certificate in Electrical Systems and maintenance (NCES)

All the above courses take two years and we admit S.4 leavers, UJTC and S.6 students both girls and boys. All national certificate courses are assessed and awarded by UBTEB and the DIT. The institute has also simplified the learning strategies by offering the above courses on a Non-formal program where every interested individual is admitted to a course of his or her own choice for 3 months of hands-on training under DIT supported by KCB Bank through h government.

The institute is well blessed with the school chaplain REV. Father Doctor Patrick Byemire helps in the liturgy. And our beloved principal ENG. Bafaki Giilvazio has enabled the running of school activities smoothly. On a good note, currently, we have over a thousand (800) students who are well-behaved and healthy.

At the institute we carry out co-curricular activities that is games and sports, we participate in different games like volleyball both girls and boys, netball both girls and boys, and football boys and girls whereby this year we managed to go for the National games in Bukinda Kabale and sailed through with a volley trophy for Girls. More to the above we also participated in athletics. In general Nyamitanga Technical Institute was the 7th in all institutes and PTC’S in Uganda.

We also have entertainment during weekends to refresh our mindsets by watching movies and music etc.

Therefore skilling Ugandans for competitiveness productivity and employment for self-reliance remains our top target.

                                          Through work one lives

                                         For God and my country.

                                     I remain Tukamushaba Christine.

                                           Guild president.

I go by the name Owomugisha Edwin a student of National Certificate in Building Construction at Nyamitanga Technical Institute a well-known institution for the production of good quality technicians across Uganda.

The academic and technical preparation of students is for jobs involving applied science and modern technology.

It does not only stop on technical education but also instructors around our institution do Reverse technology to achieve new levels of productivity, implement useful digital tools to expand learning opportunities for students, and increase student support and engagement.

The beauty of technical education is based on Nyamitanga because it prepares us for leaners learners’ specific jobs, a number of employment possibilities, or self-employment.

It gives you a chance to choose an area of interest and field that they are convinced will help them impact better. if you’re top reason for studying is hinged on societal validation, then most certainly, this education thing will depress you.

Expanding one’s skills portfolio is a top technical education. I would advise the community to keenly adjust and get involved in hand hands-on training because you are sure of where to go after your course.

Lastly, perform what your talent calls for other than gambling.

            ‘’ THROUGH WORK ONE LIVES’’

               FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY
